Public Transport in the Greater Tokyo is dominated by the world's most extensive rail networks of surface trains and subways. Buses, taxis and monorails support the railway system that see about 40 million passengers daily. The subway has approximately 8.5 million users daily. Peak times are between 8:00 - 9:30 am and 18:30 -20:00 pm. Taxis are reasonable for short journeys. Walking & cycling is common in comparison to most cities around the world.
