Description Since Japan is surrounded by the Ocean, there is a lot more need for instant access to the Japanese Coast Guard. By calling 118 you are instantly able to contact the Japanese Coast Guard for emergency boating, or water, emergencies. An easy number to remember, they are available 24/7 to assist you with any emergency relating to the Oceanic region.

Description Since the weather can be very unpredictable, and natural disasters are a higher risk in Japan, should you need help in an emergency situation, as for a natural disaster, the services of 171 can be contacted. In an emergency situation they can provide you with the information that you will need to know how to react, how to respond, and any other information which is helpful to guarantee your safety.
